35 NIT Rourkela Scientists Achieve Global Recognition

In a proud moment for Odisha, 35 scientists from NIT Rourkela have been featured in the prestigious Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Most Cited Scientists list. The recognition highlights their impactful research and global academic contribution. Faculty members, along with PhD scholars, have been acknowledged for both career-long and single-year research excellence.
In a remarkable achievement, 35 scientists from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela have secured a place in the Stanford–Elsevier Top 2% Most Cited Scientists list, a global recognition of research excellence.
The survey, based on Scopus data up to 2024, ranks scientists worldwide on citation impact and research contribution across 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. Among the achievers, 17 faculty members were listed under Career-Long Impact, while 29 were recognised for Single-Year Impact (2024). Notably, 13 faculty members appeared in both categories, and two PhD scholars also earned a spot.![NIT ROURKELA.]()
